| About Us Andrea has been in the hair industry for 20 years. She attended cosmetology school during her senior year of high school through a vocational program at The College of Lake County where she received her Cosmetology License. She started working in a hair salon during this time called 'Hair Performers' located in Hawthorn Mall in Vernon Hills, IL. She stayed there 4 years. When the salon unexpectedly closed she moved to the 'Gentlemans Choice' salon, also located within Hawthorn Mall in Vernon Hills, IL. Her time there lasted a year until a manager from another salon in the mall recruited her in. This salon was called 'Heidis Salon'. She worked there a bit over 13 years starting from a junior stylist to becoming an assistant manager. Since she had grown to the top of her trade so well with this company she decided to expand her growth horizons and venture out on her own. She is currently renting space within a salon called 'The Hair Source Salon'. Her own business, without all the overhead headaches. 'The Hair Source Salon' is a warm friendly full hair service salon located in Libertyville, IL. She has enjoyed her stay and is accompanied by two former employees from Heidis Salon as well named Cheryl and Melisa. She has continued her education throughout the years with companies such as Bumble and Bumble, Grahm Web, Joico, Rusk, Matrix, Goldwell, Schwarzkopf, Regis, American Crew, and many other independent educators. She's continued her attendance to the local trade shows and still enjoy the hair industry trade magazines.
